I started practicing Pilates regularly to improve symptoms caused by scoliosis and an L4/L5 disc herniation impinging on my nerve. It’s emphasis on more controlled movement not only helped me target specific muscle groups while ensuring correct alignment, but it also helped with developing my body awareness and mind-body connection.
Through this recovery journey, I became passionate about how the body moves and functions and how Pilates can improve this in a range of bodies and physical conditions. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and passion with others to help improve their mobility, pain, functionality and overall quality of life.
I’ve worked with a range of clients, using the mat and apparatuses. I pride myself on promoting a welcoming and encouraging environment and designing classes that are both challenging and safe.
